SEATTLE — When you’ve had hassle accessing the Washington State Division of Transportation (WSDOT) web site for site visitors updates or to trace state ferries in real-time this week, you’re not alone.
The division’s cell app and web site have been down or experiencing outages since Tuesday. The WSDOT confirmed Thursday the outages have been attributable to a “cyber safety incident that appeared aimed toward interrupting the movement of travel-related info on the company’s public web sites.”
A number of webpages remained out of service Thursday morning, together with the division’s real-time travel map, parts of the WSDOT cell app, the Washington State Ferries (WSF) vessel watch and on-line freight permits.
The division stated it doesn’t seem any extra techniques have been affected, nor was any private info accessed.
